Data Deletion
You are in control of your data. This page explains how to disconnect a connected platform and how to permanently delete your Fansona account and the data associated with it.
Last updated:
1. Disconnect a connected platform
If you only want to revoke Fansona’s access to a social account (for example a Facebook Page or Instagram professional account) without deleting your whole Fansona account:
- In Fansona: open the app, go to Settings → Connections (or the persona’s channel settings), and select Disconnect for the relevant account. We delete the stored access tokens for that connection and stop accessing it.
- From Facebook / Instagram: you can also remove our access from the platform side. On Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, select Fansona, and remove it. On Instagram, go to Settings → Apps and Websites → Active and remove Fansona.
Disconnecting stops future access and deletes the related access tokens. To also delete the data we already stored for that account, use a deletion request below.
2. Delete your account and data
You can request full deletion in either of these ways:
Option A — From the app
- Open Fansona, go to Settings → Account, and choose Delete account. Follow the confirmation steps.
Option B — By email
- Send a deletion request to privacy@fansona.art from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Data deletion request”. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
3. What we delete
When we process a full deletion request, we delete or anonymize:
- your account and profile information;
- your personas, content, schedules, captions and workspace data stored in the Service;
- access tokens and data retrieved from connected platforms (profile and account information, content, insights, and any comments or messages retrieved for the inbox); and
- analytics associated with your account, including bio-link data.
We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required to (for example, billing records) or where necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Such data is kept only as long as required and then deleted.
4. How long it takes
We process deletion requests promptly and complete them within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law. Backups are purged on our regular rotation cycle. Once deletion is complete, the data cannot be recovered.
5. Need help?
If you have any question about deleting your data, or want confirmation that a request has been completed, contact us at privacy@fansona.art. For more on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
